Ski Zell am See Kaprun

Winter 2010/2011

Zell am See Kaprun is surely one of the places which has to be seen.
Skiing in this area started about 100 years ago. Zell with the "Schmittenhoehe"
and its lake is well known all over Europe.The glacier "Kitzsteinhorn" in Kaprun
a modern summer and winter ski resort is just around the corner.(5km from Zell)
Other destinations for your next ski-holiday in this area could be Saalbach,
Maria Alm and Neukirchen/Grv.

For this coming winter 2010/2011 the lift company invested quite a bit in a few new
projects. At the back of Schmittenhöhe they replaced a 3 seater chairlift with
a brand new 6 seater speed chairlift. The last finals plans for next years project,
Piesendorf cabin up to the Schmittenhöhe have been finalized.The headquater
was moved to the Areit station. One for my opinion good decission they took this year
is to build a new restaurant at the Areit Station with a roof which can be
closed by bad weather.The skiseason has already started up on Kapruns glacier
Kitzsteinhorn.
Ski in Zell am See from end of November until middle of April.
